Do you use this simple email marketing idea?

Here’s a terrific marketing idea that you can easily implement. I call it “marketing in the from line.”

Take a moment and look at your email inbox. All email software uses the same format. The headers should read From – Subject – Date for all incoming emails. Notice the From area. Almost everyone uses their name in the From space. Now, look at how much whitespace is open — or wasted — between the last letter of a person’s name and the first letter of the subject line. Why not use this free space to market your printing firm?

I would suggest something as simple as adding a hyphen and the name of your printing firm. So, instead of looking like this:

from line example #1

Your emails will look like one of these samples:

from line example #2

Why not consider implementing this terrific little marketing idea for all of your printing firm’s employees? It’s easy to do and will immediately start to help you build your brand through better name recognition.

P.S. I just checked my inbox. Only one of the last 27 printers who emailed me used this marketing idea for their email. You could be the first in your area.
