A collection of gorgeous web-safe fonts

web safe fonts

Web design and development have evolved by leaps and bounds over the last 15 years. The acceptance of CSS, advancement of HTML, ever-increasing power of JavaScript, and advanced technologies like Flash, Silverlight, and HTML 5 have made graphic design on the web very different than it was even five years ago.

Except for typography.

Typography, of course, is a critically important part of the design process, and sometimes even the most beautifully designed web pages suffer from boring or clunky-looking type. Some web friendly fonts are so ugly, they appear to have been carved out of a carrot.

But there is good news. Web typography options are beginning to expand and improve. I recently discovered a collection of gorgeous web-safe fonts that was assembled by Wisnet Labs, a website development company. It’s the largest portfolio of web friendly fonts I’ve seen so far, and if your design team is building web pages, they’ll find this portfolio helpful.

Here’s the link to access this helpful collection: Web-Safe Fonts (compiled by Wisnet Labs)
