The marketing doom loop

It’s a twisted logic that leads to business failure.

I call it the marketing doom loop.

The marketing doom loop happens when you allow yourself to think that you do not need marketing when business is good and cannot afford marketing when business is bad.

Marketing your business does not guarantee success, but the failure to market your business will guarantee your demise.

Boy, isn’t that the truth. But maybe I’m just the insecure type.
Every time I have a down week or month I question if I am doing enough. The answer to myself is always says “No”.

When I have a good month I ask myself, “is it a fluke? Is our local economy improving?”

Can’t prove any of that but I do know the more I work at marketing, the more client business seems to appear.
