Marketing with crayons wins this month’s Golden Ink Knife Award

April 29, 2011 · 2 comments

Here is a very clever direct mail marketing idea submitted by Steve Counts of Digital Print Ink in Springfield, Missouri.

The idea was so good, in fact, that I decided to present Steve with the Golden Ink Knife Award for the month of May.

One of the things that makes this month’s presentation really fun and interesting is that Steve did a video about his idea and posted it to his YouTube channel. I would urge you to take a few minutes to watch this informative video. In addition to explaining everything you need to know about Steve’s Crayola direct mail campaign #1, the video is an excellent reminder for each of us how easy and practical it is to make our own marketing videos.

I would also urge you to read my short interview with Steve and take a photo tour of his printing firm.

Thank you for sharing, Steve, and congratulations on a job well done!

Special thanks to Scott Cappel of Sorrento Mesa Printing for referring this idea to Gutenblog.
